1. Product Overview

The Tejoy Universal Pipe Mount is one of our most versatile mounting solutions, designed to secure Starlink terminals to existing pipes, poles, railings, and tubular structures. Its adjustable bracket system accommodates pipe diameters from 1 to 3 inches and supports all Starlink terminal models with the appropriate adapter plate.

Key Advantage: Unlike fixed mounts, the Universal Pipe Mount can be installed on existing structures — no need to modify your roof or property. It is the preferred choice for RV owners, renters, and anyone who needs a non-permanent installation.

2. Terminal Compatibility Matrix

4. Installation Guide

What You Will Need

  • Adjustable wrench or 13mm socket wrench
  • Tape measure
  • Spirit level
  • Anti-seize compound (recommended for coastal environments)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Select Mounting Location

Choose a pipe or pole that is structurally sound and provides an unobstructed view of the sky. The pipe must have a diameter between 1 and 3 inches and a straight section of at least 6 inches for the U-bolts to grip.

Step 2: Attach Bracket to Pipe

Position the bracket on the pipe and pass the U-bolts around the pipe through the bracket slots. Hand-thread the nuts onto the U-bolts. Do not fully tighten yet — keep the bracket loose enough to allow height and angle adjustment.

Step 3: Install the Adapter Plate

Select the correct adapter plate for your terminal model. Align the plate with the bracket arm and insert the M8 bolts. Leave the nuts loose for now to allow final alignment.

Step 4: Mount the Starlink Terminal

Carefully place your Starlink terminal onto the adapter plate. Align the mounting holes and secure with the provided bolts. For Mini terminals, finger-tighten is sufficient. For larger terminals, use the wrench for a firm hold.

Step 5: Adjust and Level

Use the spirit level to ensure the mounting plate is horizontal. Adjust the bracket height on the pipe if needed. For Standard Actuated terminals, verify the dish has full clearance for its motorized range of motion.

Step 6: Final Tightening

Torque all bolts in a cross pattern to ensure even pressure. Recommended torque: U-bolts — 15 Nm, terminal mounting bolts — 8 Nm. Check for any movement by applying moderate hand force.

Step 7: Cable Routing

Route the cable along the pipe and secure with UV-resistant cable ties. Use rubber padding between the cable and sharp edges. Install a drip loop at the lowest point to prevent water ingress.

6. Frequently Asked Questions

Can this mount be used on a chain-link fence post?

A: Yes, as long as the post diameter is within 1-3 inches and the post is rigid. Standard chain-link top rails (1.66 inches OD) work well. Terminal posts (2.38 inches) also work but may need the larger U-bolt option.

How often should I check the bolts?

A>: Inspect bolts monthly for the first 3 months, then quarterly. In areas with temperature swings above 20 deg C daily, thermal expansion can cause bolts to loosen — check more frequently.

Is this mount suitable for marine environments?

A: The standard mount is salt-spray tested for 500 hours. For permanent marine installations (coastal, boats), we recommend upgrading to our Marine-Grade Mount with 316 stainless steel hardware and additional anti-corrosion coating.

Can I mount this on a chimney?

A: Yes, using our Chimney Mount Adapter Kit (sold separately). The adapter distributes the load across the chimney structure without penetrating the flue. Maximum chimney width: 24 inches.
