Before beginning installation, verify that your setup meets the following requirements:
| Parameter | Requirement | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Pipe Diameter | 1" - 2" (25mm - 50mm) | ☐ Verify |
| Pipe Wall Thickness | ≥ 2mm (metal), ≥ 3mm (PVC) | ☐ Verify |
| Mounting Surface | Flat or curved (min 4" clearance) | ☐ Verify |
| Cable Reach | Power cable reaches mounting location | ☐ Verify |
| Obstruction Check | Clear 120° view of the sky | ☐ Verify |
Place the pipe mount bracket on the desired pipe or railing. Ensure the mounting plate faces upward and has a clear view of the sky with minimal obstructions. Use the level to confirm horizontal alignment.
Thread the U-bolts around the pipe and through the bracket mounting holes. Tighten the nuts evenly using an adjustable wrench. Do not fully tighten yet — leave enough play to adjust the angle.
Position the mounting plate on the bracket arm. Line up the pre-drilled holes with the bracket slots. Insert the hex bolts and washers, then hand-tighten the nuts. Leave slight adjustability for final alignment.
Place your Starlink Mini terminal onto the mounting plate. Align the terminal's mounting holes with the plate holes. Secure using the provided bolts. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten — the terminal casing is plastic.
With the terminal mounted, adjust the tilt angle for optimal satellite coverage. For most regions in the northern hemisphere, tilt approximately 25-35° upward. Use the Starlink app to confirm a clear field of view.
Once the angle is set, fully tighten all bolts and nuts using the wrench. Apply firm, even torque to all connection points. Double-check that the mount does not shift under moderate hand pressure.
Route the Starlink Mini power cable along the pipe using the included UV-resistant cable ties. Leave a small service loop at the terminal end to reduce strain on the connector. Secure the cable at 12-inch intervals.
A: Yes. The Tejoy pipe mount works on both vertical and horizontal pipes. For horizontal installations, ensure the bracket is oriented so the mounting plate sits level.
A: The mount is rated for wind speeds up to 100 mph (160 km/h) when properly installed. For areas with extreme weather, we recommend additional bracing.
